Book Review

Keeper of the lost cities:
Nightfall

I am reading a series called ‘Keeper of the lost cities’, which has nine books. I haved finished reading six books and the sixth one is called ‘Nightfall’. It is almost 800 pages long amd the genre of this bpok is fantsay. It was published by Simon and Schuster in the year 2017.

If you have already read all my “keeper of the lost cities’ reviews you would be familiar with the series and also the major plotline.

Here is the plot of ‘Nightfall’- After the incident at Lumenaria, a person kept prisoner for hundreds of years has escaped. Sophie’s human parents have been kidnapped and are maybe kept at Nightfall. They take help from Lady Gisela who guides her how to rescue them, but she has a price of her own. Sophie must save her parents or they might go insane and get lost forever. This book is written by Shannon Messenger, who is an American authour known for writing this series. She is also wrtten a series called ‘Sky Fall’.

The main characters in this book are Sophie, the protagonist, Dex, Keefe, Fitz, Tam, Linh and Biana, her best friends, Black Swan, the group who made Sophie, Grady and Edaline, Sophie’s adoptive parents, some members of the Black Swan, the Neverseen, who is the antagonist group, Fintan, who is a part of the Neverseen, his new advisor and the Council.

I enjoyed reading the book. It was very interesting and nice to read though I didn’t like the length of the book and I think it should be separated into two different books. My favourite character was Keefe as he is very funny and unpredictable. My favourite part was when Sophie and her friends met with Fintan’s new advisor.

This book is recommended for readers of ages 9-13. If you read this book and like it, read the next book which is ‘Keeper of the lost cities: Flashback’.

I give this book 4 out of 5.
